I haven’t sculpted a box in a good while (about 2 years) since it is very time consuming and definitely generates a load of dust in my shop despite the downdraft table.
I recently got a nice load of some awesome sinker cypress and thought fut the wuck… I’m going to make some serious dust.. and rejuvenate my sculpting attempts..
I Got out my old faithful Makita grinder and the 3m dust mask and got to work.
For years I used a Trend Air Shield Pro and it made life easier without having to have so much dust in my face. Unfortunately the Trend Air Shield wore out and quit working a good while back. Life of being covered in dust is much more bearable when my face is not covered with it. If I decide to do more sculpting I will definitely, most definitely buy another one.
The box is 9×7 x 4
Spray finished with can lacquer.
Shipped out today as a Christmas present

What beautiful work… how does one start receiving Christmas presents from you. I mean, I could be a long-lost cousin…
