8 1/4” x 3 1/4”
Friction Polish.

This one got a little thinner than I was expecting but worked out great. Really deep and has a bigger bottom edge.

Another beautiful bowl, and I’m glad you were happy with the results.

How long does a bowl take you from start to finish? Are you putting some kind of finish on them?

How long? That is a good question. For these bowls do I count the time it took to harvest the logs? Then, cutting them up into blanks? Then turning them while wet, and then twice turning them to finish? I’ve actually asked myself that very question… and I’m not sure… But I’m guessing 5-6 hours… But I really don’t know. I imagine if I did this for a living, I’d have a good idea.

The finish is equal parts of Boiled Linseed Oil, Denatured Alcohol, and Shellac. Frictions polished on and I do 7-10 coats.

I was shooting for 30. But that plan is now moot. Looks like I’ll be moving before Mother’s Day. Since that isn’t going to happen. My wife is pushing me to sell them. LOL

Yea, I’m going to give them as Christmas presents to a few of the ladies. But all of them were going to be for visitors and such.

I wish I had a good idea. My son is helping me with the sales side. We need to come up with a name that has not been used on the internet or facebook. He went to school for a lot of this along with video/audio stuff. (he works at a local TV station)

I think I came up with something different… but we will have to put it through its paces.
