I found a heap of this Japanese Pepper tree wood at the tip one day.
Rough turned this crotch piece and packed it in the green shavings in a cardboard box and forgot about it. It lay undiscovered until I was looking for another piece. Hello, what’s in this box??
Unfortunately most of the bark had separated whilst in the box so I just had to make do.
The bowl is 9 1/4 at it’s widest and stands 5 1/2 inches tall, sanded both on the lathe and by hand to 400 and then sprayed with Satin varnish.

Hope you like it and thanks for looking.

C & C Welcome.

Bob.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

That does sound like fun, I’ve seen but not thought about taking part, but will follow it up.
Thanks for the comment.

Beautiful quality looking bowl. Looks like a tougher one to turn. Hope it doesn’t make you sneeze.
