3 pairs of carved Blue Wrens

I have just finished carving and Painting three pairs of Australian Blue Wrens
They are pretty much life size …. small !
Carved from reclaimed pine off a pallet, painted with acrylic and sealed with water based non yellowing varnish.
The Blue Wren is Australia’s most liked bird, by a recent poll. As you can see in one photo, since I had the palette of the wrens going I also cut out and painted some Wrens for magnets and brooches also from reclaimed plywood off a pallet.

Theresa, I’ve just been looking at an old photographer mates photos of the Blue Wren, and wow, you have nailed it in these carving.

Beautiful done, they are a favorite in my area also. However we don’t have the blue ones, never heard of them. Great job.
