Lightning McQueen replica for a very special little boy.

A month ago today our youngest grandson [3.75yrs old Asher] underwent a 9.5hr heart plumbing upgrade, his 4th heart surgery.

He spent 2 weeks in PICU then a week and a half in a ward. He’s home now on a 6-8 week recovery program.

My wife spent most of the month at our daughters looking after their 18mth old daughter.

I had to make myself busy, in the shed of course.

Asher loves number and the “CARS” movie so I tried to look for a plan to make a Lightning McQueen car but no luck.

Next Step was to make a look alike replica using whatever I could find on the internet and adapt it.

I had a good amount of help from fellow Lumberjocks which has been very much appreciated.

Very nicely done Peter. Great job and I am sure Asher will have a great time playing with them.

Those are truly wonderful. My grandsons would love them. I might take a few ideas from yours for them.

Brilliant Peter, just what a grandson needs. My grandson now nearly 12 used to watch the same show on tv. he would have loved one of your models.

Great job grandpa!

Hard to imagine what that little guy has been through in his short life already.

Hoping for the best for a full recovery & no future issues.

Thanks for posting.
