Finally had time to make a workbench since moving into my new house. Its modeled after the plans from woodsmith. The top is 4 layers of 3/4 mdf. The base is 2×4 and 2×6.

3” of MDF sounds like it has that “mass” thing covered. A solid bench to work off of is a key to improving your game, you’ll be happy every time you use it.

Use it in good health.

Good thing you put wheels on it. Now that’s a SOLID bench.

I have the same bench, it is heavy but it is FLAT all the time. I went ahead and put a shelf across the bottom and that’s been really handy. Almost wish I had done doors to keep the dust off stuff actually.
