Walnut breadbox, 40×29x24cm, 12mm thick sides, top and bottom, 6mm back plate. It has removable 20mm thick front door which, when they are opened serves as cutting board. I made some grooves with round 16mm router bit on router table. Hinges consists grooves on inner sides and beech 8mm dovel on door’s edges. Finish wood oil.

Love shape of main box and look, have never done a catch like that nice.
Wasn’t sure if the grooving was to lighten the cover or just for the catch.

I agree, sap is good addituon… I usualy don’t cut it
The grooves doesn’t light the door, they just catch crops.
