My wife makes jewelry and sell it at craft shows; she started taking some of my small projects to sell. For years now she has been selling my work. Not making a fortune but it covers the both fee and it is fun. As you can see I like to make cribbage boards.

Some neat work and cool ideas (love the fold up!)

I got into the selling market the same way by making wood stands and stuff for the wife’s glass work.

Face it, you’ll be occupying half the booth before long then have to venture on your own and become a competitor 8^)

Thank you. I hear ya, I too started making display stands, ear ring holders and then it was keepsake boxes and the odd request. Then I got a lathe and things got… Well you know.

I occasionally like to go with my Wife to craft shows. She has a regular route she follows through the year of repeat shows, and then there are the “pop up” shows, ohhhh joy.

Every booth I pass where the poor hubby is stuck doing whatever you do to keep from harming yourself all those long hours, I always give them my condolences. I’ve always gotten a knowing smile, Sadly they almost look like he’s saying Help Me…

Your pieces are nice. I do get to scan a lot of nice work.

It’s nice to have an outlet – I’m in the shop every day making something but the craft shows around here have gone extinct but I keep making saw dust

Without an outlet, things start to pile up and friends and relatives begin to sign when you show up with another “gift.” LOL. People will say you should sell on line. I tell them I retired and I’m not looking for another job. When the farmers market and county graft shows around here went down, small groups of crafters started setting up in other areas. For now all the regular shows are open.

Some great projects there, I really like the folding cribbage board, that can also double as a small game table too. Great job on all, the bowl is nice too.

Thank you. The cribbage table is red alert and curly maple. I live on the east side of the Sierra Nevada mountains and it was designed with campers in mind. The bowl is reclaimed Redwood decking that was 50+ years old.
