Coffee scoops … most were turned from a tree that came down in my yard a few years ago (the dark colored one was from an ornamental that we took out of a neighbor’s yard).

They are 6-1/2” in length, the bowl is 1-3/4” in diameter. Finish is ‘Tried and True Original’.

Nice work Gerry. Does the bowl size equal any special amount of coffee, like 2 tbsp? Or your just a sling in about that much coffee, and add about this much water kinda guy?

The chuck jig. is that hollowed out the same radius as the spoon, then use a dab of hot glue to help secure before using the hose clamp… or is there a taper inside the jig to clamp in place.

The scoop (level full) holds about one tablespoon … not exact, but close enough!

No hot glue, tapers, etc. It is schedule 40 PVC coupler with a short length of PVC pipe glued in. I turned a plug that fits inside the pipe … the bottom of the blank rests on it. Hopefully some pix will help!

Thank you. The first picture was enough for me to make the chuck jig.

Have your say...
