This is something I have been thinking about and finally tied it. Made from a block of jacaranda that has been drying for about 1 year. This was a simple bowl for the first try. Will have to try this again.

What the inlay wood? It looks like a fun experiment and I’m interested to see where you take the idea…

Very nice, pretty wood. What is the diameter or your bowl?

Cool idea. I can think of all kinds of cool things to try with that. Your bandsaw jig reminds me of one that I saw from Izzy Swan.

I have been thinking along the same lines as you, except with the bowl in an upright position, I think I like your way better, or at least an alternative way. Now I just need to modify my circle jig on my bandsaw. Great job.

Thank you all for your comments. I’m surprised this simple bowl made it to the top 3.
