Project Information
Hi there…
Its good to be back on Lumberjocks after 6 years of hiatus since my last posting (Sam's Split Top Roubo Workbench).
Anyways, I'd love to share my latest project with you guys and I hope you enjoy it.
p/s a full video on the making of this project and close up pics are available on my facebook page
Sam MT
Briefly,
- Sam's Foosball Table -
Designed and handcrafted it myself
Idea generation and conceptualization are inspired by Sam Maloof joinery
Adopted measurements from "Tornado Tournament Foosball Table" and concept of single goalie from "French Bonzini"
Design influences? "Art of Nouveau" - leg curvature sculpting profile & "Art of Deco" - cabinet (body) with sharp angles and geometrical shapes profile
Project consists of 2 genres: woodworking technicality and artistic style (shaping & sculpting)
Materials used are tropical hardwoods and softwoods, brass (solid & hollow) rods, stainless steel hollow rods, custom-sized tempered glass and felt cloth
Couple of years in the making (approximately 6 hrs/day X 365days) due to acquisition of materials
Glad it's finally done and happy it turned out well
The Making Video, (2632) A Foosball Table designed by Sam MT - YouTube
Cheers, Sam MT
