Hope Chest for My Sister

Hello LumberJocks. I made this Hope chest for my favorite Sister. It is made from Black Walnut & Aromatic Red Cedar on the inside. The Dimensions are 30” wide 16’ deep & about 15” tall considering the coopered top. The inside tray is also Black Walnut with 1/4” ply for the bottom. The Greene & Greene plugs are Ebony. I used Black Walnut that was left from my Dad’s Estate that was rough cut 30-35 years ago & air dried. I like the Greene & Greene look
& have more wood & more siblings so stay tuned, time is always the factor. The hardware is from Rockler. Thanks for looking…..........Jack

Chest has a lot of warmth, beautiful work. I like the G&G details too, and your use of the sapwood makes it homey. The coopered top just sends it over the Moon. Nice job. Thinking if you have other Sisters you better get to work, lest you become the Black Sheep Brother to them. :-)
