Mini Shop Smith

This is a project that I have wanted to do since the 1980s when I got my first new Shop Smith.
I just never got around to it as back then I was building cabinets and furniture and helping build houses.
I found the plans on Face Book the other day so just had to give it a try.
I’ve owned 4 SS over the years and now use two to get my projects done.
One is a full size 510 2002 and a 500 I have took apart and have hanging on the wall for my drill press.

That is just great. A lot of time went in to that. Great job.

I am glad you built it. I learned something new. I had no idea what a shop smith was until now. Such a sheltered wood worker am I. Oh! And it looks great.

Great job on the model. I’m sure it was a lot of fun. Did you do your own drawings?

Thanks guys!!!
I’m really glad I found the plans as it really makes me smile when I look up on the shelf and see it.
It is a pain at times when it wants to go out in the shop and see it’s big brother. lol
