Little tray back truck toy for gifts or giveaways

I started playing around with an existing template pattern I had to make a slightly different bigger little wooden toy truck.

The body is old recycled Pacific Maple with 2” shop bought wheels.

The trays are slightly different in that one has the sides glued on top of the base while the other I’ve glued the sides to the side making a large tray.

I’m not sure which one I prefer but to the child who receives either, it’ll be fun and play for hours.

Two different types of furniture buttons were used for the headlights giving very different appearances.

The finish is 3 coats of my homemade WipeOnPoly.

A good fun project to keep busy during a lockdown isolation period.

That looks like a fun way to haul stuff, Peter! I’m pretty sure I would pick whichever tray could haul more stuff. ;-)

Sorry to hear the stats…

Being a past victim in Victoria… I expect to see a few hundred of these off the production line.

Crowie you have done it again, your talent for churning out these models for kids to play with never ceases to amaze me.
Well done

Thank you ladies and gents for your kind words of encouragement.

Being in the third week of government health lockdown isolation stay at home orders, the woodwork helps keep me sane, focused and motivated.

The hard part is missing out on my exercise program at the deep water hydrotheapy pool.

Those are pretty cool Crowie
I like them. Wish I had toys like that when I was a kid.

Hope the lockdown gets over soon!
