Handle is walnut. The butt Plate and the collar are padauk and the staff in canarywood. Finished with 3 coats of Helmsman spar urethane.

Awesome carvings. My dad would have loved those. He spent most of his life on horseback.

Yes , it is very comfortable in the hand. You see them more in the UK. Mostly with out carvings It’s called a Cardigan handle. The original Cardigan sticks ,which are still made , we’re all one piece.
