Box w/secret compartment

I wanted to make something my grandsons thought was cool, so I looked for some ideas on the web. I found something, but thought I could build it a little better and got started.

This box was made with walnut, tiger maple, ash, and poplar.

Here is how the inside was designed.

Thats a beauty, J.D. Multi-level planning going on there, me likes.

Been wanting to make one of those spring type hidden compartments for awhile now.

not only a beautiful box but a damn cool hidden compartment.what kid wouldn’t love that to hide stuff from his parents-lol.
