This is a rocking horse that I made for my nephews first x-mas. I got the plans from woodentoy.com. This was a very fun project and very rewarding to make. It is made from cherry and finished with danish oil and wax. It was a big hit on christmas as you can see.

The cost of the material – $25 (a guess)
The cost of the tools – a lot (not a guess)
The cost of the look on a baby’s face when you make something especially for him – priceless
