Started of with, need to build a quick box for a Very Cheap set of BBQ tools used for camping, Old box got wet and fell apart. Maple frame and top panel, butt joints with some square nails for strength and just because I wanted to use them on something. couple of quick coats of Varathane and good to go camping this weekend!
Wood was salvaged from timbers bought for firewood.

Nice little tool box for the camp. Great idea for the storage. Appears that your getting ready for a LJ Swap. Great job.

Your box sets the pace of just how good a BBQ can be. Nice work indeed.

Nice box build. How did you make the panel for the top and bottom? Resaw the maple on the band saw and edge glue the pieces together?

I’m building a similar box and I’m also using scrap wood from old cabinet doors.

Where did you get the closure hardware?

You right about wood prices. Scraps I used to give away or use as firewood are now more valuable. :-)

Don’t know if we’re doing a BBQ swap again this year or not, but that would’ve definitely been an overachiever in last year’s BBQ swap.

Nice box build. How did you make the panel for the top and bottom? Resaw the maple on the band saw and edge glue the pieces together? Yup:) except bottom is 1/4” plywood, floating.

I’m building a similar box and I’m also using scrap wood from old cabinet doors.

Where did you get the closure hardware? Not sure, think Amazon?
