Project Information

I originally made this dollhouse 35 years ago for my daughter. She now has two girls 10 and 6 years old. I painted the exterior walls and trim and made a few repairs. When I built the house I didn't add any interior trim. Now it has window trim and baseboards along with a little sprucing up of the wallpaper and flooring.
We also have a box full of furniture.
My grandkids are very excited, they saw it while I was working on it. I plan to give it to them this weekend.

Now that's one very special doll's house, a family heirloom for sure.
Absolutely gorgeous and the girls will enjoy it for many years, while your daughter is reminded of the enjoyment she had playing with her beautifully made doll's house by her dad. Winner!

Start planning now for the improvements you are going to make when it is the greats' turn! It's already so wonderful I don't know what you could add.

Very nice.
I too made one (actually 44 years ago) that my daughter still has and I have made minor repairs to. However she had two boys so it may have to wait another generation for a little girl to play with it. Currently it is just on a display stand in her home.

Les, wouldn't it be wonderful to be around for the third generation and still building things for them.

Oh man, that is so nice. They're going to have a blast playing with that. I would have a blast playing with that, for crying out loud. Great job.
