What if two people guess the correct weight of the HotRod Ford at the 50th Reunion

https://www.lumberjocks.com/projects/419898

That was the question from the old shipmate who was organizing the fund raiser!

SIMPLE – I’ll make another prize for the the Guessing Competition!

I put on my thinking cap and came up with a prize that would have a wider appeal, a Christmas Sleigh & Reindeer.
I had the templates and a beautiful piece of Camphor Laurel for the sides plus a length of laminated Walnut for the centre section. The reindeer would be made from some Tallow Wood complete with a Blood Wood nose.

So with Handy’s assistance the sleigh and reindeer was done.
Three coats of my homemade wipe-on-poly and the Second Prize is sorted!

The other accepted answer to the question is to make them guess ounces. Nice work!

Thanks Ken, The tree is actually classified as a pest, but woodworkers love it.

Which one? The Camphor Laurel? Or the Tallow?

Cool project!
I’ve seen in one of my woodworking books, but haven’t got that round tuit yet.

The Camphor Laurel is the declared pest.

The Tallow Wood is a beautiful Australian Hardwood, the pieces I have are reclaimed.
