I recently purchased a laser engraver. These are some of what I have been practicing with. It will do up to 100 mm x 100 mm.

I am enjoying the learning process

Thanks for looking

That’s pretty cool, Rick. I’ll have to stop over and have a look at it. Do you program the image and it does the moving while burning?

cheers, Jim

Jim, no it doesn’t move. All I do is download a picture or I can create one. I can stop by with it if you want.

Tip: set you image resolution to 254 DPI. This will give 1:1 scaling.

Rick, I purchased one also a while back. I’ve not been using it much but I’ve got a project that I’m trying to get the materials for. I’m making 125 “Memory” boxes for girls for Christmas.

The box will have “Memory” engraved on the lid. So I’ll have a bunch of engraving to do.

Good luck on your progress with yours.

Turn down the power a bit, focus the laser if you can. Air assist from an aquarium pump will help also. You should be able to get crisp, clear, precise lines without soot on the edges.
