Playing with magnets

I made this useless box a couple of years ago to try out a new way to make a latch. I can’t think of anything it could be used for, but I can’t seem to throw it away. Any suggestions?
It’s strangely satisfying to hear the snap when it closes.

Hey you know what!

I have spend a few day investigating your useless box.
you could modify it slightly and call it a magnetic switch!
Then as everybody does abbreviate the name

Like from Thomas to Tom!
Or even awesome to awsum if you get which page I am on !
Then it may become a mag switch to hold stuff on your woodworking adventures as you make a feather board.

Hey now you could call it a mag switch feather board! and it would work well on the top of table saws and other machines because they have cast iron tops or work surfaces. Magnets stick really well to them.
Then maybe a real brainstorm …. mass produce them for welding and other metal fabrication processes!
Hokieken may be a good sounding board for that aspect.
Now if you wanted to use plastic Yuk! maybe involve The Duck LBD for a business venture, I know he is just sitting at home itching to do something more than being locked down like a prisoner inside a cask of wine.
Then involve me as I am pretty good at reducing the size of things below the size of what was intended.

Sell for ridiculously high prices to other people trying to make a living working and become the Bill Gates of magnets!

Hey even space travel, maybe Chester Gould may be interested in it in making a safe space shuttle to get to the moon and see some Moon Maidens.

Fidget box. Why does it have to be anything more? :)

I like it. If nothing else it’s a snapper.

Who amongst us hasn’t made something we didn’t quite know what to do with, yet were drawn to it, and didn’t give up on it.

I remember Dick Tracy, but not the space coupe. Heck sometimes I can’t even remember what I did yesterday.
