Offcuts Cheeseboard prize for the Boys&Girls Club competition day.

My wife is the head gymnastics coach who is organizing the club competition, so as a fund raiser, my stash of wooden toys was raided plus a requested “Cheeseboard”..

Just goes to show, no scrap timber in my shed, just offcuts awaiting a project!

The board is about 11” x 7” with 3 coats of well rubbed in raw coconut oil which has come up pretty well.

It all helps the community club.

That’s a pretty board, Peter! Do you know what the wood on the outer edges is? That’s got some interesting spalt, looks like.

Peter you amaze me with the stuff you churn out for money raising. You should be in line for an Australian of the year award.

Sorry Dave, It came from a hardwood pallet which rescued. The red strips are Jarrah. Their is some old Oregon (aka Douglass Fir) in the middle out of an old house.

That is a really great board mate, I love the contrast.
Great job and thanks for helping the kids.

Bob.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.
