This project was a request from a friend asking if I could make a jewelry box. The wood was selected, a brief design was sketched, and work completed. I appreciated the challenge and experience taking an outside source design and attempt to match it. Ribbon sapele, ambrosia maple and black walnut.

Here’s this weeks video: Jewelry Box

Good sized chunks-o-wood!

Nice shaping. Are you planning to add any inserts (trays, etc.) or is that up to your friend to ponder?

Very nice Chips, great selection of woods and a beautiful finish. So you started out with a large top, lots of shavings.
