It was a crappy week for weather so I spent time in the shop !!!
This is what I made from a couple hickory flooring and some scrap pieces of jatoba and a pair of SOSS hinges .
When I thought I was done the box just did not look right so the next day I came up with the window idea and that looked a lot better to me .
Real simple box design with a 2 deg. slope for the sides and a breadboard lid .
10 1/2’ X 6’’ X 4’’ h
The two pieces of hickory are quite different in color but seem to work well together .
Finished with two coats of wipe on poly .

Great looking box. The “windows” are a nice touch.

Nice looking box and I like the added windows. I think you may need a door too.

Faked me out. I was looking for a window, with a box sitting in it. Interesting adornments.

Klaus, Looks like the current bank architecture in Mankato. Good to see you at work!
