Project Information

Another bird carving finished.
This time a pelican. Hand carved using reclaimed timber from a pallet.
Painted with Jo Sonjas acrylic gouache and protected with a coating of white wax.

That looks so realistic Theresa, you've certainly done a fine job of carving and painting on this one. top marks.

Wow !!! another beautiful bird, must be something carving on pallet wood, it is either destroying on the gouges or the fingers, but the end result is what we are looking for, and you made it once more, if you have a chance tell us about the size, bravo.

Dig it! I especially like the feather texture on the wings. It's like icing on a cake.
