These were the gifts for the all the mother’s yesterday at church. I made 30 of them. I started on these about one month ago.

The wood is Redheart from South America. After purchasing and cut them up into blanks. I found out that Redheart will want to brown in Sunlight. So, I went with a finish of… one coat Shellac to seal. Then, two coats of Marine Spar Varnish with UVA inhibitors. The jars are filled with Lindt Chocolates of various flavors.

Thank you… It had its own little adventures. I did blow out two lids…. and was able to make two bracelets out of them. The tops I finished… threw a couple magnets…. and bam… Refrigerator magnets

Very nice on all counts. Great gift idea and looks fantastic. I could see using this for valentines next year. Thanks
