2019 project I’m just getting around to sharing. I purchased two bookend cedar slabs 2” thick x 22” W x 10’ L to make a custom bar top for my boathouse on Lake Gaston. The pieces were joined together with maple splines.

This was one heck of a project you took on son and I must say it turned out so nice! How you figured out all those angles must have been mind boggling and the results were nothing but perfect!

Seeing all your great work in person was so much better than just looking at build photos…. Mom and I are so proud of you. You have a little piece of paradise right there to enjoy! We will be back soon. I get thirsty just looking at that great bar!

Nice work Alan. Almost looks like a set up in Tahiti. You have to get old man Tony to move up there so you guys can share in the building things.
It would be nice to have something like that at our lake but it’s getting hard enough to catch fish. LOL.
Enjoy your summer.

I’m not typically a fan of live edge but I love the way this looks. I can’t pin point it but I think its the way the live edge is subtle yet contrasts nicely with the rigid geometry of the beams and rafters. Whatever it is it fits the space beautifully. Very nice work.

Fantastic work. It looks great. Reading your dad’s comments brought a smile and tear or two. Well done.

Thanks swirt!
I wish I was there to watch and help our son with this project. I know I would have learned something for sure. He is really good at figuring out what needs to be done to get the job done!
Happy for the smile sorry for the tear or two! Good memories are there to hold on to forever!

I like you home on the lake. Your living the American dream.

Thanks Gr8HUNTER, I’m considering selling the mustang because I spend all the nice weather at the lake.
