Pressure treated wood aint what it used to be!

I built us a new door for our outdoor shower because the old door rotted away at the bottom. It’s in it’s natural stated for now but the door frame will be a rustic red color and the panel will remain natural. The wife want’s some color so I guess I’ll be dragging out a paint brush again soon as the PT dries ick! Hope it takes forever!

Thanks for looking in!

Old door rotted at the bottom.

Wow, Tony that is one awesome looking door. I really like the sliding door over a hinged door for your particular application.

Thanks Pottz! Our Lake….It’s a retention pond for runoff water. There is no way you would catch me in it naked or with cloths on LOL!

Edit.. or just more gabbing! Water bills are high here in FL. A few years ago I built a solar panel to heat a 30 gallon tank in side the shed. We save money by taking showers outdoors all summer long! Our Water Heater stays off all summer but I installed a transfer switch on a timer so when we need hot water it’s heated up in 10 minutes. But here in Florida our water is never really that cold anyhow!

Hahahah! Me skinny dipping NOT! If I did you would need a bucket! LOL!

We got up there last month to see the new bar, new (very expensive) boat dock and their newly renovated lake house. So much was done in the past year and because of covid in the mix I didn’t get to help. Alan and Cathy are amazing what they do. We can’t wait to get back up there to enjoy our family!

I can see why you don’t want to paint it. It’s awesome.

I’ll bet you don’t live in Minnesota. :^)
