If I had a hammer, well 50plus of them for Kindygym was the request.

Yes, my beautiful wife requested 50plus little wooden toy hammers for Construction Day at Kindygym

Each hammer is 1 3/8” (35mm) square with a 5” (127mm) handle.
The hammer head is recycled Radiata Pine while the handles used to the dowels on a old Child’s Playpen we found on a roadside cleanup.
I nearly went crazy with all the repeat work.
Two coats of gloss clear pressure pack can (shake&rattle)

So there’s a total of 57 for Construction Day at the Gymnastics Program of the Local Community Club “Boys&Girls Club”.

Wasn’t going to challenge you crowie, and try to count to catch out any taradiddles.

Nevertheless, after my previous pathetic 26 block project, I sympathise with your easing of all those blocks’ edges.

Great work and just maybe it’ll inspire one of them to grow to love WWing.

You did a good thing.

Looks great. Thank goodness you did not have to produce 5 pounds of nails to go with those hammers.

Well done again Crowie. I wonder what all the little ones managed to destroy with these mallets?

When I was younger I would have said you are the greatest! What kid will not love this!

Now that I’m older I just think about the liability 8^) (perhaps balsa for the heads and plastic straws for the handles)
I can’t imagine the feelings of the adults in the room with 57 kiddos (having just watched Thor in the Avengers)

Either way, you are a hero for spending your time making so many of these, nice work!

When my kids were younger, I had a 6×6 drop in the shop, gave them a hammer and a box of nails. Kept them entertained for hours while I worked. There were some wrong nails hit at times
