Built this desk for my God Daughter. She had asked for metal legs, but I think I got the same effect using maple and painting them black. As usual, all the wood was salvaged and re purposed. It’s been delivered and she’s happy with it. Thanks for looking.

Really nice – and in the pictures I definitely thought the legs were metal!

Clean and simple, the legs set it off. Great job.

Interesting and creative approach for the legs. Looks metal but is wood. Nice work.

Simple design that is absolutely beautiful. Love the contrast between the black and the natural wood.

Thanks for the comments. The desk is 48 inches by 22 inches. It sits 30 inches high. The apron is 6 inches wide, and the drawers are 4 inches wide. The legs are 1 1/2 wide by 3/4 thick. Sorry I took so long to get you those numbers Lou. All the wood is maple with a clear coat on it.

Thank you Bunyon. I went ahead and made one. I guessed at your measurements I made mine at 55 inches by 22 inches. All the rest is the same. Made mine out of Poplar and stained it red oak. Made if for my grandson.
