Kathy wanted a picture of some horses.This is the picture she picked. I copied the design from a fellow marqueteer. I know the sun is actually in front of a few of the “clouds”, but just go with it.

You just keeping posting the awesome….. I love marquetry.. Trying to get the nerve to dive in… What method you use..? I am trying to study the double bevel and “pack” (?) methods.. got books been reading… got to get some supplies..

I use the double bevel method with 2mm thick veneers. I never make more than one of a given picture so the pack method doesn’t really interest me. I took a 2 day class from someone when I first got started. That helped a lot.

I like that all 3 horses are not exactly the same in form. That took a lot more work, rather than cutting all 3 at the same time.
