That board reminds me of the one that my mom made in high school back in the 1930s. I think it was made out of pine (not exactly cutting board wood) but lasted through the ages. It's what our family considers a family heirloom!


It got so much use that it lost it's hind foot!

In 6th grade woodshop we had a choice to make the ping or the artist pallet cutting board. I made the artist pallet, my mom still has it.
