After carving, I applied a Powdered Metal Nickel Coating to make it appear it was casted. Also, it started flying backwards so I reversed the wings because I put them on the wrong side.

The wings are still on backwards…

Would look good, otherwise…

Great carving. What wood is it? Do you have a shot with the wings on the right way for the record?
What product did you use for the coating. It sure makes it look like a casting!

I don’t remember what wood, it was probably MDF or Pine. I guess I should of took a better picture after I turned the wings, but here’s a ‘group’ picture of a few of my projects that include the Pegasus. The powder metal is mixed with resin and sprayed on, then after it’s set I brush the resin off with steel wool. See some of my other projects which explains better the process.
