I have tons of driftwood and wood recovered from water and finally decided to make a small table set for myself. I was going to do the table top with resin but decided to leave it as is once it was cut. I didn’t want to hide the beauty in all the edges and holes created by the water. So i cut it and left it as is.
The stump started off as a giant piece. Ill find a picture to show you guys. It was 7’ tall and every bit of 9-10’ wide. When i cut the section off to start the base i was able to salvage two large pieces off one side to create the stools. I used sections of the long roots to add the foot rests. There is still quite a bit of this stump left. I already cut another piece off and started a carving. Ill post that project too.

A lot of work to accomplish that. And the table must weigh a ton!

Here it is not legal to take driftwood since all waters (except for small private ponds) are considered government property. A pretty dumb law! I don’t know if it’s ever enforced.
