I purchased an LED filament Edison light bulb a while ago and needed a lamp holder for it. The firewood pile offered a nice coloured piece of alder that I ran through the jointer until it was nice and square. Then I continued with sanding and finally drilling a hole to be able to fit a lamp socket. The whole piece was treated with white pigmented hard wax oil (Osmo) which will hopefully keeep it from yellowing in the sun.

Retro look, love it. Nice work!
