Airstream food tray

Nephew bought an Airstream trailer. Think very small space. This food tray was made to fit over the burners on the small stove, so the bottom had to look good too. I used left over 1/4” play Sapele and put a ash veneer over the backing. I used GF black wipe on stain (2 coats). The splines are ebony. The handles are also ash that I ebonized using the same GF black. The sides are lace wood I think.

I just got asked to make another.

Looks real good! Don’t think the stove in our trailer has ever been used?

Thaylnks guys . Hi Andre. Trailer goes to pro golf events. I do worry about a hot burner that might get forgotten. It’s gas so at least you know they won’t put it on an open flame!

Very nice workmanship. I am surprised you were asked to only make one more! Might be the start of a few more orders. $$$

Great selection of woods and finishes.

Not much higher complement than “please Sir, may I have some more” 8^)

I like the solid design, serve up the tea or an emergency run of golf balls to the 18th tee.
The sides (looks like leopard wood to me) really show nicely with the black accents.
Clean and professional Petey, well done!

I’m betting you’ll get more requests! I also like the wood choices. We use the stove in out travel trailer, though.

Nice work Petey. I was going to vote for Top 3 but I’m too late. You already have it. Congrats!!

Love the look of the sides Pbb...

Tea be buggered and ball to you… slab of beer (or casks) to the tee. Hope those handles are reinforced by rebar!

Petey tested its strength by loading it up with some of his Festools before finishing.
