Dear friends!
My previous Vehicle project was an electric car for my granddaughter. And my latest project is a gasoline-powered tractor for my grandson.
The petrol engine is from a lawnmower. To avoid vibration I placed the engine on silent blocks The gearbox, integrated with differential and brake, is a lawn tractor component. Power is transmitted from the engine to the gearbox with a V-belt. A depressed clutch loosens the V-belt and at the same time tightens the built-in disc brake, a released clutch tightens the V-belt and releases the brake. The V-belt is guided on bearings to reduce friction. The pulleys were turned from plywood using a drilling machine.
I designed the steering gear using hand drill gears.
Of course, many of the parts could have been made of wood but it would have been very solid, so I replaced many things with metal parts.
The chassis is plywood, reinforced with beech slats. The front axle is rigid but tilting to compensate for ground unevenness. The dimensions and proportions of the tractor are determined by the size of the engine. The big engine case is a little confusing … I also fitted a towbar. I’ll be making a trailer soon.
The material used is cherry and walnut, the first axis is ash, in order to be strong. I varnished with synthetic varnish.
It was more than 300 hours of work. I don’t know how reliable it will work … :)
Thanks for watching! All the best!

That is amazing Tichomir! You are very talented and your english is a lot better than my Slovak. LOL
I just made a few projects for my grandkids, but it’s pretty minor compared to your invention. Even though I’m a little early, congrats on your DT3 (I’m sure you will get one) and your grandson is going to be the coolest kid in the neighborhood.
