Using three blocks of Western Red Cedar, I made a swinging corner mount for the plastic wall mount that comes with the Dyson vacuum cleaners.

Dyson would have you wall mount your Dyson with their existing bracket which makes the unit stick out perpendicular from the wall—no good, takes up too much space. I devised a way to hide our Dyson in the corner of a closet pantry, flush against the wall to minimize its storage footprint.

The basic materials are the wood, wood screws, some basic hinges, and a couple bar magnets to keep the hinge closed. It works wonderfully and was rather simple to make. The cedar has no finish on it.

To get the blocks to be flush and perfect, I used a combination of flush trim routing and bench sanding. The hinge mortises were cut using my router and squared with a chisel.
