Another experiment. White lacquered maple – sculpted base. The walnut top is a shop-made ply from veneers. And then I added a skeleton to it to stabilize it so that it can remain super thin. We’ll see if this holds up over time.

Any and all comments/critique are welcome!

Beautiful piece of furniture. I like the painted and natural wood look. Legs are awesome. Thanks for sharing.

Both the shape of the legs, and the fact that they a painted white makes me think of bones. They look skelital. I love the look. Very unique. The simplicity of the legs also draw your attention to the slab. Nice job!

I really like the look, and admire the experimental risks you take. Those risks really help you push the envelope. Well done.

Great design, beautiful wood. Good idea for the supports under the top. The legs are wonderful, but, white!?, not a fan. Just my opinion…
