Been awhile but here’s a project I just completed completely made from scrap.
My version of a Japanese Lamp.
18”H x 8”Sq. Main frame Cherry and the Kumiko panels are Purple Heart Frames with pine and Cherry inlays.
Rice paper for the bottom panels and Mice behind the top.
and yes, it does have a hidden drawer.

Looks great!
Kumiko pulls it all together and that roof is really neat (bamboo skewers?)

The light is an LED candle, really just meant to be a nightlight.
