This project has been on the books for a while. Maple Burl with some type of dark wood.

love the wood ued and design is real nice.thats on my to do list some lidded bowls.i always love your bloopers too,glad you show em.

i think not youve got better skills than i do at turning,plus even the advanced turners make plenty of mistakes,they just dont show em like you do.editing makes everyone look like a pro-lol.

That is true… with the pro of editing I can snap a finger and have a completed project… no mistakes. I think its important to show mistakes and failures, so others can learn from my mistakes. Thanks

Thanks… yeah the burl is crazy pretty. Don’t care for the bark inclusion so much, but what can you do.

Great turning, and a great contrast with wood choices. As for the inside if the lid, leave it be. That would look great on my desk at work for the candy.

Your doing some beautiful work there, and the videos are a plus, helps other learn the craft. I am just getting back into turning, so a bit rusty, in fact so we’re the tools after being stored for a few years.
