Stack of Ash scraps, left over from the Bathroom Cabinet Project. Resawn down…trying for 1/2” thickness. Lots of glue ups…through dovetails, hand cut. Brass hinges. Ash knobs for the drawer. Was trying to get the grain to wrap around the outside. Compartment has a 1/4” plywood panel for the floor….drawer rides on another one. Plywood bottom for the drawer. lid has one strip of White Oak.

Stain and varnish from Minwax.

Just using up scraps, instead of burning them. haven’t a clue as to what I’ll store in this box..yet.
Thanks for looking in..

Good looking box, something will find a home there. Nice tight dovetails.

Build it and it will be filled. ;) Nice save of the “scraps” into a very usable project.

Nice dovetails. Looks like maybe a shoulder plane will find a nice home in there.

That’s a great use of the leftovers from your last project. Wrapping grain can be tricky but it looks even if some of the grain got a bit of a wild hair. Straight grain everywhere can start to look a little boring anyhow.
