Intarsia project for my grandkids with original pattern map on back. 30” x 40” with 12 different woods.

very well done! did you scroll out the individual states?

Your use of contrasting woods is excellent.

Love the way you used different woods and played with the grain orientation. One critique though… Why is Alaska so small?

If I made Alaska any larger it would not fit inside the frame.The original pattern had it even smaller and distorted so I copied another map of Alaska to use as a pattern. I also enlarged Hawaii to fit better because it was so small.
