Maloof inspired rocker. I bought the plans, so I can’t claim design of the piece. The only part I can claim is the build execution and the decisions regarding how to use the grain to best effect.

yeah better pic’s and bigger would really show off that beautiful rocker better.i love what looks like turquiose fiill on the chair arm.

Thanks to all for the very kind words.

As for the fill on the arm, I had a thick piece of stock that was the perfect size, but the only problem was the void that was in it.

The void went all the way though the arm.

I had learned of colored epoxy and so I decided to try it. I tinted it with a small amount of acrylic paint. And then I filed that void with it.

I had to sand it smooth with micromesh to get it to polish up.

Looks inviting. Love the arm, embrace the imperfections, they just add character. :-)
