Knocked together with some odd bits of timber, with a bit of perspex on the front so they can see the nuts inside. Took them a while to get the hang of opening the lid . . . a couple of them now get completely inside the box to pick up their quota of food.
Sadly just ordinary grey squirrels – not the very rare reds that we sometimes see in the north of the UK, nor the black ones i’ve seen in the US (IIRC New England?)

Those darn squirrels!! Can be a real pest at times!

But I love them too. So interesting to see what they’ll do next.

They probably enjoy you making it a little harder for them. They think they’re getting over on you.

Cool man…..

Reminds me of stray cats “dumpster diving” the way they get that lid to flip up 8^)

They can be a hoot to watch, can’t blame you for trying to get some “reds” to partake in your buffet 8^)

I have a squirrel that just stares into the shop window while I’m in there working. The bugger kinda creeps me out!

Neat project, I have one of those on my build list. I like sitting on the back porch watching them, they do have some funny quirk’s.

The Reds are nice too, but they can be really mean and destructive.
