This started out as an intarsa but ended up as a stained glass piece. The base is black walnut and allows for the piece to free stand in our front bay window. If I ever get caught up with all my other projects I would like to complete the intersa project. I also have the pattern for a dall sheep to go into the other window.

Now that’s one very special piece of beautiful artwork.

Cool design!

I like the way you contoured the bottom. It adds “life” and works well for support. I’ve seen so many stained glass objects stuck into a flat or circular base.
