These are few “different” projects for the sale next Saturday.
The first ones are golf balls in branches! They are made from grapefruit tree branches and are 2 3/4” diameter and 5” long with 1 3/8” wide slots. The golf balls are about 1.700” in diameter so they won’t come out!!.

The second pair are pencil cans made from Cholla cactus skeletons and with mesquite bases. They are about 4” in diameter and 4 1/2” long.

The last 2 are more Mr Peanut refrigerator magnets for my great granddaughter. The dog chewed up the last one I made for her and she was heartbroken so I made a replacement and an extra one she can play with at our house. They are made from pecan wood and stand 4 1/2” high.

I had thrown away the bark from the grapefruit tree branches and my friend , John, fished it out of the scrap barrel and made a bird house out of the pieces.

Cheers, ,Jim

Sellable items for sure. Those pencil holders are a good idea. I made a bunch of them lately out of various woods. I’m using every one for something and makes the clutter quickly available and looking good. Sure beats those coffee cans and jars.

Glad your Grandma is happy again.

Hah!
Got a good chuckle that someone in your neighborhood can find useful wood dumpster diving in your cast-offs 8^)

Like squeezing blood from stones!

You certainly have nice sized Chollas! I’m limited to about 1” (but I haven’ t explored the trunks yet)

On the eve of your 1000th project, congrats! You are responsible for 0.6% of all the LJ projects ever! (that is a big number buddy! 8^)

Thought I might mention, a friend of mine says he’s been making those oven shelf push, pull, kitchen tools. He says he can’t make enough of them, they fly out his shop like crazy. Easy nice scrap wood project. Just a thought…

Neat collection JJ... however I can see the seam in the golf ball… also you may be in trouble with your peanut shakers. I hear that Mr Potato Head has been peeled.

About time the world came to its senses… maybe people will stop ostracizing me when they see me in my animal nightie.

I have just finished another cask of vino… once finished there’s no finish...

Sorry JJ, doing it again… I can’t stop but can continue to apologise.

Thanks for all the nice comments. Winding down on the projects with 3 weeks left here. These were just goofing around items to keep me out of trouble.

Hi Pottsy…I just posted #1000…thanks for reminding me!!

Hi Bruce. We have Cholla that is bigger than 4” too. This one I had laying next the trailer from a few years back.

Hi Dave. That grapefruit wood is on the pile by the east fire pit in the park. I may look for a big diameter to continue on the citrus streak!!

Hi Duckie…you are always entertaining….I welcome it anytime!!!!!!!..Animal nightie?...no speedo??
