My daughter got a new kitchen table to replace the high one she had. Asked me to make her some bench seats w storage to go with it. We decided that a hardwood top w a gloss finish would compliment the table nicely. Used cherry w walnut stain and water based gloss polyurethane. Had to relocate an electrical outlet, and extend a hot air register. 2×4” frame w 3/4” plywood from with a beadboard skin to match her kitchen walls. With new baseboard and shoe mold it looks like it’s always been there. First project posted in a long time. Biggest one since I got my shop set up again after moving 4 times after getting my house and shop flooded in September 2018. Feels good to be back at it.

It looks good! I know they will enjoy those family meals there and it looks like a great place to read a book there by the window!
