This table was made of (Top) Curly Cherry framed by Tiger mable. (made back in 2003 for a coffee table) Repurposed here. Cross gran holding up nicely with biscuits and glue.

Base is Curly Maple with transtint brown die to bring out the curl.

Drawers where dove tailed and made of Poplar with Sepele 1/4 ply from a sail boat project left over a friend gave me. I built a map table for the boat.

The shelf was notched into the legs. A first for me.

Joints are with Domino’s another first.

Base finish is GF Satin, inside drawers is Rubio Mono coat. (both firsts)

The drawer pulls are poplar ebonized w Black Transtint (100%) and GF ebony gel poly.

Top is 41” by 21” it stands 36” tall

Design is my own.

Very nice looking table, great design and D.T. work, but for some reason have a hard time accepting domino construction? :)

Olddrivers JCamp DW and Pottz, thanks. Pottz the top is an amazing curl like water ripples. I did a humidor out of the same board and posted it, like a year ago.

Andre, I have done all kinds of hand cut joints. For example it took me 8 hours to cut and fit one mortis on a pair of double doors that had 12 mortis to do! So I bought a mortising machine and cleaned them up by hand.

If is ok how you feel about a domino. I understand. Thanks for the comments.

Petey, you bad boy!

That is one fine looking table, excellent job on bringing out the figure in the wood! You now need some coasters to keep the riff-raff at bay 8^)

That top looks like tiger stripes, and I am sure it was harder to tame.
